Wikipedia defines cultural mosaic as “the mix of ethnic groups, languages, and cultures that co-exist within Canadian society.”
Cultural mosaic appreciates diversity and all the different ethnicities and cultures. It is the opposite of assimilation, or a “melting pot”.

An example of cultural mosaic is the increasing amount of music and television shows in Canada in different languages while also displaying different cultures. French radio stations are becoming very popular in Canada, as well as the Aboriginal Peoples Television Network (APTN)
